On Wednesday, May 4 there was four lovely ladies that attended Blankets for Canada. We sewed a lot of squares together, just about finishing two blankets. Only three more meetings until summer break: May 11, 18, 25. Then we will be off for the summer but still excepting squares, yarn etc. Blankets for Canada Ladies might break from meeting once a week, but they still find the time to make many blankets. Every little or large donation of yarn or squares or blankets are greatly appreciated by us and those who receive the beautiful blankets.
Well, we survived our first camping trip of the year. The temperature wasn't even too bad, at least our water didn't freeze in the camper this year. Didn't have a fire as 'twas a little too windy.
It's so awesome that we can now take clean coloured and clear glass to Sarcan depots that will be used for some great projects.
On Wednesday, April 20, Viscount School of Dance year-end recital was held.
Congratulations to Dexter Gusikoski who placed second at districts badminton in Humboldt. Wishing you all the best at regionals where he will represent Viscount Central School and Horizon School Division at the provincial level.
Viscount Childcare Centre and Viscount Wheatland Library hosted a successful Kaiser night that was held on April 9. A great time was had by all.
On April 23 we managed to have a fantastic family gathering at our home. The Easter Bunny decided to show up a week late but it worked out well. There were colourful Easter eggs scattered all over our yard. Probably a little more scattered than the Easter Bunny had intended, due to the wind that was blowing them around. It was so sweet watching both the grandchildren and three of our great grandchildren running around and filling up bags and baskets. I would have to say the one with the most eggs was our four year old great grandson. He had such a big smile on his face. So much fun had in the few hours we were together.
Congratulations to Mary Joan and Greg Young on their 50th wedding anniversary. A beautiful celebration was held on Friday, April 22. Exactly 50 years. Family and friends gathered together to celebrate their special day.
