Truck thieves active

A rash of truck thefts are keeping Unity/Wilkie/Macklin RCMP investigators busy. Between late evening Sunday and early Monday, a blue 2009 4WD four-door Chevrolet Silverado with Saskatchewan license plate 974 HBG was stolen from a farm North Wilkie.

A rash of truck thefts are keeping Unity/Wilkie/Macklin RCMP investigators busy.

Between late evening Sunday and early Monday, a blue 2009 4WD four-door Chevrolet Silverado with Saskatchewan license plate 974 HBG was stolen from a farm North Wilkie.

During the same time, a 2011 white Ford F150 Super Crew with Saskatchewan Plate COOKR was stolen from a farm approximately eight kolometres north of Wilkie.

A black 2001 Ford F150 with Saskatchewan license R7017 was stolen from a business in the town of Macklin.

RCMP areurging the public toensurethey remove the keys fromtheir vehicles and lockthemto prevent the theft oftheir vehicles and belongings. In addition, RCMP are suggesting the removal ofany "hidden keys" left in the glove box or console whichgives thievesthe abilityto drive away behind the wheelof a stolenvehicle and commit further offenses.
