LLOYDMINSTER – A trial for a man charged with forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, robbery with a weapon, and extortion has been adjourned until January 2022.
Jason Palsich’s trial was scheduled for Nov. 15 in Lloydminster Circuit Court.
Palsich and Luke Dean were charged in connection to an incident on July 30, 2020, when Lloydminster RCMP had received a report that a victim was allegedly confined to a residence and assaulted before he was able to flee.
Thirty-seven-year-old Palsich’s bail conditions were eased in July. His 24-hour curfew was amended to allow him to out with his mother and to go into Lloydminster with his mother. His remaining conditions remain in place including not to possess any weapons or drugs, and not to have any contact with his co-accused 27-year-old Luke Dean.
The charges against Palsich and Dean haven’t been proven in court.
Dean appears next in Lloydminster court Nov. 18.
