SASKATOON — The rehabilitation work at the downtown Saskatoon Transit terminal will start on Monday, Aug. 26, and end on Saturday, Aug. 31.

The short-term project was supposed to begin on Wednesday, Aug. 21, but there was no reason for its delay. The partial closure is for roadway rehabilitation, resurfacing, and curb drainage in Terminal's westbound lane.

The project will take at least one week, weather permitting and barring unforeseen circumstances. During this project, several bus routes will be temporarily relocated to the east side of 3rd Avenue between 22nd and 23rd streets.

Routes 2 and 5 will be relocated from Monday, Aug. 26, to Wednesday, Aug. 28, and Routes 8 and 80 from Monday, Aug. 26, to Saturday, Aug. 31.

Temporary bus stop signage and transit staff will help locate transfers and buses, and "d "no park" ng" signs will be set up at the temporary terminal route locations.

The sidewalks in the downtown terminal will remain open, and the Transit Customer Service Centre will maintain regular operating hours.

Spadina Crescent between 2nd and 3rd Avenues will close at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, for crane work. Weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances, this project will take up to three days to complete.

Avenue C between 32nd and 33rd streets will close on Saturday, Aug. 24, starting at 6:00 a.m. for the Dated & Faded Vintage Market.

Detours will guide motorists around the event. Roadways will reopen after 8:00 p.m., weather permitting, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Avenue H between 22nd Street and Bedford Road will close at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, for patching. This project will take two days to complete.
