Music, variety and the support of others make an exercise program much easier to stick to. Maidstone's women's fitness centre, Superior Fitness has moved to a more affordable and accessible location. The centre, formerly located in the industrial area, has now re-opened in the former Gospel Hall located on Main Street just north of the Seniors' Drop In Centre.

The facility offers a bright room with a timed circuit training format. There are several different machines to strengthen various parts of the body and a treadmill in the corner. The new building is smaller but still has plenty of space for several women to exercise at once. The exercises can be adapted for various ages and fitness levels and core members are able to answer any questions.

Superior Fitness held an open house Nov. 1 showing the community what they have to offer. Memberships are set at $40/month or $400/year. Members can access the facility on their own time with a code and can choose their own style of music from a collection of CDs, or connect their own mp3 player to motivate their workouts.

Contact any of the 10 core members for more information.
