One of the two remaining individuals still facing charges in the Gold Eagle Casino cheating case has entered a guilty plea.
Christopher Stone-Spyglass pled guilty to one count of theft over $5,000 during his appearance in provincial court Tuesday morning before Judge Dan O'Hanlon. The other charge of cheating at play is to be withdrawn on sentencing.
Stone-Spyglass now awaits sentencing Jan. 18 in provincial court.
He had faced charges that stemmed from card games at Gold Eagle Casino between October 2008 and January 2009. Three others were previously convicted for their roles in the casino card-cheating case and have served sentences ranging from conditional discharges to a years' probation, along with restitution orders and bans from entering SIGA casinos.
One more individual saw charges dropped while charges were stayed against another accused.
A seventh accused, Ken Mark, has elected to proceed to trial and a pre-trial management conference is due for later this month.
