Battlefords Rural RCMP have laid several charges after locating multiple stolen vehicles in an area about 30 kilometres south of the Battlefords.

Three youth have been arrested in connection to the case and they made their first appearance in North Battleford provincial court Friday. The vehicles were located in various remote locations south of the Battlefords in Nov. 19-21 .

Fifteen stolen vehicles, one snowmobile and a cargo trailer were located.

The items were stolen from the Battlefords, Biggar and Wilkie areas.

The three youth face a total of 61 Criminal Code chargesfor the period of Nov. 11 to 16. One faces 31 charges while the other two youths both face 15 charges each.The charges involve possession of stolen property, causing damage to property by fire, flight from police, unlawful possession of firearm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault with a weapon and failure to comply with an undertaking.

RCMP officers from the Battlefords, Wilkie, and Unity, as well as from Battlefords General Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Section, were all involved in the investigation. The investigation into these incidents and the further recovery of property continues.
