Santa has confirmed he will be attending the second annual downtown Christmas parade Nov. 18.

North Battleford is gearing up once again for their second annual Christmas Parade.

This year the organizing committee has decided to plan a Night of Lights parade, anticipating floats and entries with Christmas lights. The parade will be held Friday Nove. 18 at 7 p.m., and is once again co-ordinated by the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club and the City of North Battleford.

It will be a change from last year's parade, which took place during the daytime. In a news release this week, organizers said they were encouraged by the turnout last year and are hoping for the same participation this year.

The route for this year's downtown parade is expected to be similar to what it was last year, though final details on what the route will be have still to be determined.

As usual, Santa will be making his appearance at the event.

Organizers are now looking for participants to enter the parade and be involved. Registration is free.

Parade entry forms are now available from the parade committee for the Night of Lights. For more details people can contact Mike Halstead at 445-1710 or Sheri Woolridge at 445-0002.
