Frontier Mall merchants are teaming up with Warne Photography to raise funds for the Empty Stocking Fund.
Frontier Mall General Manager Cheryl Cook-Taylor says mall merchants are excited to have joined forces with award-winning photographer Warne Noyce and will offer Santa photo packages to customers this holiday season.
Santa Claus will be at Frontier Mall various Thursday and Friday afternoons as well as Saturdays and Sundays during December to hear the holiday wishes of all children. At the same time, parents will have the opportunity to purchase t photographs of their child with Santa Claus. A percentage of all proceeds from Santa photos will be donated to the Empty Stocking fund and Cook-Taylor says she hopes that donation will be significant.
"There are so many families in our community that rely on the Empty Stocking Fund and without our donations these families might not have Christmas dinner or gifts for their children," she adds.
"Warne is an excellent award-winning photographer and parents will have the opportunity to purchase top quality photographs printed right on site within minutes. Not only will parents purchase a wonderful keepsake for their child, they will also help support a very worthwhile cause in our community," Cook-Taylor says.
Warne Noyce recently relocated to the Battlefords from Lloydminster and has become involved in the community, helping raise funds for various local charities, says Cook-Taylor.
"Everyone wants photographs that pop, that stir emotion, that take our breath away. This is the approach Warne Photography embraces with each and every photograph and these photographs will be so much more than your traditionalphoto with Santa," says Cook-Taylor.
Battlefords Empty Stocking Fund Executive Director Bill Hall says he is also pleased by the promotion.
"It is great to see so many in the community come out at this time of the year to supportthe needy."
Fundraisers such as this allow the Food Bank to provide for more than 1,300 people, including 650 children, at Christmas as well as the rest of the year, says Hall.
