The human remains found at a residence on the 1900 block of 99th Street have been positively identified as Ronald Peequaquat.
RCMP confirmed the positive identification in a news release Thursday.
Peequaquat, 45, had been missing since June. RCMP and police had conducted two ground searches in an effort to locate him and there have been several media reports asking for information on his whereabouts.
A caretaker of the residence on 99th Street discovered the human remains about 3 p.m. Wednesday.
An autopsy was done Wednesday afternoon and police say foul play has been ruled out in this death. The next of kin have been notified.
