Rash of break ins investigated

In the first week of September several Wilkie businesses and municipal buildings were broken into. Illegally entered were the Wilkie town office, library and fire hall. Also broken into were Wilkie Medical Clinic, Jana Electric and Sher's Salon.

Illegally entered were the Wilkie town office, library and fire hall. Also broken into were Wilkie Medical Clinic, Jana Electric and Sher's Salon.

A welding generator, sledge hammer and hack saw were stolen sometime between Sept. 7 and 15 from a shop on a farm near Wilkie.

During the same time frame a diesel powered Kansai water pump was stolen from a Landis area location. The pump is valued at $800 plus hoses and fittings.
