Prince Albert RCMP investigating fatal two-vehicle collision on Highway 3

PRINCE ALBERT - On Sept. 11, 2021 at approximately 4:50 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 near Crutwell.

Investigation has determined that a car and a truck towing a boat on a trailer collided. The driver of the car, a 25-year-old man from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, was declared deceased at the scene. His family has been notified.

The adult male driver of the truck was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The two passengers of the truck, both youths, were not injured.

Highway 3 was closed for approximately seven hours during the initial investigation. Prince Albert RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP traffic reconstructionist continue to investigate.
