Battlefords residents may have noticed that a new section of Highway 4 between North Battleford and Battleford has seen the development of a few potholes over the last few weeks.
Nov. 16, the holes were patched. The holes had likely been created because the uncompleted stretches of highway have only one (of an eventual two) layer of pavement, but sources say an engineer hired by the town is investigating to see if there might be another reason.
Construction, including the addition of another layer of pavement, medians and more traffic signals will resume in the 2012 construction. Town officials say they appreciate motorists' patience until the project is completed
