Police ask for public's help following bear spray incidents

SASKATOON - The Saskatoon Police Service are investigating after responding to three bear spray incidents in one day on Wednesday.

Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from the effects of bear spray; he was treated by paramedics on scene.

In another incident, at approximately 5:40 p.m. on the same day, police were called to the 1300 block of 22nd Street West for a report of an individual being bear sprayed.

Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from the effects of bear spray. The male victim did not wish to receive medical care.

The suspect(s) had fled the scene before police arrival.

In a separate incident, at around 11:30 that night, police received a report of an injured person in the 300 block of Avenue C Â鶹´«Ã½AV. Initial call information stated a female had been bear sprayed.

Upon arrival, officers located a woman suffering from the effects of bear spray; she told officers it happened near the basketball courts by the river. The victim did not wish to be treated by paramedics.
