Police are still on the lookout for the person responsible for hitting a pedestrian crossing 100th Street with his vehicle Sunday night.
According to Battlefords RCMP an adult pedestrian was crossing 100th Street at the intersection of 18th Avenue, across from the 7-11 convenience store. The individual was struck in the intersection by a car, which then fled the scene.
The pedestrian was sent to Battlefords Union Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
On the scene to respond were WPD Ambulance, North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services and the RCMP.
Police describe the vehicle involved as a later-model green car that could possibly be a Chrysler Intrepid, and they believe the vehicle likely sustained some front damage.
