Thieves have hit a Paynton resident twice since Aug. 11 Maidstone RCMP say they were notified Aug 11 of the theft of a six-inch drilling auger from a yard in the village.

Maidstone RCMP say they were notified Aug 11 of the theft of a six-inch drilling auger from a yard in the village. The auger, which features an aggressive bit, could be used with any hydraulic drilling system, place say.

Sept. 1, a 20 foot trailer with vehicle ramps mounted to the rear was stolen.

Maidstone RCMP are requesting the public's assistance.On August 11, 2011 Maidstone RCMP were notifiedof a theft from a residential yard in Paynton.Unknown person(s)stole a 6" drilling auger with an aggressive bit. This auger could be used with any hydraulic drilling system. The trailer hadSaskatchewan licence plate 553-HGK when stolen and a large scratch on the driver side.

RCMP suspect the thefts were accomplished by the same perpetrators.
