PRINCE ALBERT – A man accused of killing his young son, his parents and trying to kill his daughter is scheduled to make an appearance in Prince Albert Court of Queen’s Bench on Jan. 26, 2022, to speak to the matter.
Nathaniel Carrier, 30, is facing three counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder. He is charged with killing his mother Sandra Henry, father Denis Carrier, both 56, and his seven-year-old son Bentlee. He is also charged with the attempted murder of his five-year-old daughter Kendrah.
Kendrah was nicknamed “one tough cookie” during her 51-day hospital stay in Edmonton and Saskatoon, said her mother Heather.
Prince Albert Police were called to a home at 315 McArthur Drive in the city for a wellness check. There they discovered the bodies of two adults and one child, and another child clinging to life.
At the house police noticed that Denis Carrier’s vehicle was gone and Nathaniel Carrier was unaccounted for. They later learned that the vehicle was in La Ronge. Days later Carrier was arrested in Prince Albert without incident on March 31.
Police believe the murders occurred on March 28, 2020. According to Prince Albert Police, Carrier lived in the home with his parents and two children at the time of the murders.
The triple murder rocked the quiet community on the outskirts of the city. When neighbours learned about the murders they were shocked and said this was the last house they would expect such a gruesome crime. They described the couple as “really, really nice” people who were “always cheerful.”
They said the Carrier family would change the decorations on their home and yard every season and on special holidays.
