The city of North Battleford has passed a zoning bylaw amendment in order to accommodate expansion of the Credit Union CUPlex

Council approved changing the Zoning District Map Monday night, by rezoning a stretch of land at 623 Carlton Trail from the previous A1 Agriculture and C3 Commercial zone to a C3 Commercial Zone.

The land in question extends just north on Heritage Way and just west on Carlton Trail. According to what was stated in the original public notice issued in November, the purpose of the rezoning is to expand an existing highway commercial site located in the southeast portion of the city, to facilitate the expansion of the site for the Credit Union CUPlex.

A public hearing on the bylaw was held in open session on Monday night, with no objections made to the proposed changeover.
