The 1900 block of 99th street will be closed for most of today (Sept. 8) due to a water main break.
In addition, and not related to repairs, the hot weather is affecting the colour of water in various areas of the city again. According to the Department of Public Works, when it is hot like this, the demand for water gets higher and the normal flow pattern is disturbed - causing a stir up in the pipes. The water is not unsafe if consumed.
