No charges planned in death of 85-year-old woman: PAPS

A woman, 85, died after being assaulted in a care home in Prince Albert in August.

PRINCE ALBERT – Prince Albert Police say that there won’t be any charges in connection to the homicide of an 85-year-old woman in August.

According to police, an assault occurred between two residents at a care home in the 700 block of 28 St. East in Prince Albert on Aug. 14. Parkland Ambulance took an 85-year-old woman in serious condition to the Victoria Hospital.  She died on Aug. 19 due to her injuries.

PAPS had said that a 76-year-old woman was the suspect in the senior’s death.

“The investigation into this incident is now concluded,” said Charlene Tebbutt, spokesperson for PAPS.
