More adjournments in court for man accused of killing Hornick-Schmidt

A man accused of killing a North Battleford man had two more court appearances in Lloydminster Provincial Court with the matter being adjourned each time.

A man accused of killing a North Battleford man had two more court appearances in Lloydminster Provincial Court with the matter being adjourned each time.

North Battleford Legal Aid lawyer Andrew Lyster waived Lance Dwayne Littlewolfe鈥檚 appearance in court July 12 and June 14. The matter has been adjourned to July 26.

Lyster told the court today that there is 鈥渜uite a substantial volume of disclosure鈥 with more coming. Disclosure consists of the Crown鈥檚 case against the accused.

Littlewolfe was arrested in North Battleford on April 23 and charged with second-degree murder in Daxon Hornick-Schmidt鈥檚 death.

On April 17, 2021, Lloydminster RCMP responded to a call of a deceased man on a sidewalk on 50 Avenue. The man was identified as Hornick-Schmidt.

Littlewolfe remains in custody.

The charges against him haven鈥檛 been proven in court.
