Maunula heads council of realtors

At the annual meeting of the Council of Battleford Realtors (CBR), Brian Maunula was nominated and elected as the chairperson for the upcoming year. The Council of Battleford Realtors elects a new chair on an annual basis.

The board of directors for the CBR consists of: Archie Robinson, past chair; Brian Lampitt, vice-chair; Al White, treasurer; and directors Kayla Bobryk, Kandice Tomaz and Ed Truelove,.

The CBR is a regional council under the Saskatoon Region Association of Realtors Board. Thirty-five agents and five real estate agencies are members of the CBR. The function of the CBR is to promote interest in the marketing of real estate in all aspects and to advance and improve the relations of the members of the Council with the public.

The CBR operates under established bylaws and practices.

In 2011,the CBR council has provided donations to the CUPlex in the amount of $20,000, Empty Stocking Fund - $500, Boys and Girls Club - $500, Big Brothers, Big Sisters - $500, BUH Foundation - $500, United Way - $500.

Scholarships were also provided to John Paul II Collegiate, North Battleford Comprehensive High School. and Sakewew High School in the amount of $500 per school.
