A 31-year-old man was found dead 400 metres south of St. Walburg Sunday.
Bystanders located the man's body at 11:40 a.m. and placed a 911 call.
A preliminary RCMP press release indicated the death was due to a snowmobile accident, but that information has since been updated. RCMP now say the cause of death is undetermined, but cold and exposure are believed to be factors.
No foul play is suspected, according to the police, and RCMP and the Saskatchewan Coroner's Office continue to investigate.
The name of the dead man has not yet been released.
Driver Injured
The driver of a black Tahoe was injured after being forced off the Highway 3 by a semi, according to Maidstone RCMP.
Feb. 10, between 6 and 6:30 p.m. the Tahoe was proceeding east on Highway 3 from the Highway 17 junction toward St. Walburg when a westbound semi, driving halfway into the east bound land, forced the Tahoe off the highway, police say.
The Tahoe's driver lost control and ended up rolling in the north ditch. The road conditions were icy and visibility was low in areas due to blowing snow. The driver of the Tahoe was injured and taken to hospital.
Police are seeking the identity ofdriver/owner of the semi and licence plate number and description of semi. The RCMP say there were a few other drivers on Highway 3 at the time and are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or observed to semi to contact the Maidstone RCMP.
The RCMP are also urging motorists drive according to the actual weather and road conditions.
