LA RONGE - Update Sept. 21: RCMP say a 29-year-old male found seriously injured in a Ronge Sept. 16 has died in hospital.

His death is considered suspicious and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is investigating. Anyone with information should call 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or .

 

Original post Sept. 17: Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes investigating a report of a seriously injured man in La Ronge.

Around 5 a.m. on Sept. 16, La Ronge RCMP received a report of a seriously injured 29-year-old man who was located outside an apartment building on Bedford Drive in La Ronge. The man was transported to hospital.

Investigators are asking the public for assistance. If you have doorbell/home security video footage showing the 1500 block of Bedford Drive in La Ronge between midnight and 6 a.m. on Sept. 16, contact police at 310-RCMP (7267) or Crime Stoppers.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes are investigating with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section and La Ronge RCMP.

Police say there is no increased risk to public safety at this time. More information will be provided when possible.
