SASKATOON - Police seized cocaine and a large amount of cash in a recent drug bust in Saskatoon.
Members of the Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team have concluded a drug-trafficking investigation with the arrest of one man and execution of a search warrant.
At around 10 p.m. on Oct. 30, members of the Crime Reduction Team, with assistance from the Tactical Support Unit, took enforcement action on a 40-year-old man in the 200 block of Fairmont Drive; cash and cocaine were seized upon his arrest.
Following his arrest, a search warrant was executed on an address in the 300 block of Miyo-Wâhkôhtowin Road without incident.
As a result of investigation, the following evidentiary seizures were made: $2,655 CAD; 97 grams of cocaine powder; and 2010 Lincoln MKX.
A 40-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.
