Man faces charges following weapons complaint in Saskatoon

The suspect began to damage police property.

SASKATOON - A man is facing charges following a weapons complaint Monday in Saskatoon.

On Aug. 5, at approximately 4:10 a.m., police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue M Â鶹´«Ã½AV for a weapons complaint. Call information stated a man was at the side of a building with a firearm.

Officers spoke with two witnesses who helped with a suspect description. Police then began searching the area and eventually located the suspect in a vehicle. A high-risk vehicle stop was conducted and the man was taken into custody.

Police also noted that after arriving at the police detention site, the man began to damage police property.

As a result, a 32-year-old man is facing charges relating to carrying a weapon, concealing a weapon, mischief under $5,000, as well as breaching a conditional sentence order (x4), and breaching a probation order.
