PRINCE ALBERT – A man accused of shooting and injuring two men has been released on bail.
Following a show cause hearing in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Thursday, Klay Patterson, 25, was granted bail and he’s due back in court Oct. 17 to elect how he wants to be tried.
Klay Patterson, along with Kade Patterson, 23, and Kein Patterson, 27, are charged with two counts of discharging a firearm with intent, two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault causing bodily harm, using a firearm during an offence, careless use of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Prince Albert RCMP issued a warrant for the three following an incident at about 4:45 a.m. on July 30. RCMP say they got a call about a shooting on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band side of Little Red. Their investigation determined that a vehicle approached another vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a residence. Shots were fired at the vehicle and two males were injured. They were taken to hospital with serious injuries, say police.
Kade Patterson and Kein Patterson are still in custody and have show cause hearings scheduled for Sept. 21 in Prince Albert court.
The charges against them haven’t been tested in court.
