Yvonne Wilson, chair of the Lashburn Housing authority, was recently recognized for 30 years of volunteer service.

An event was held in Regina Nov. 22 to recognize long serving board members for 25 and 30 years of service. Wilson was unable to attend that event so MLA Michael Chisholm and deputy mayor Leonard Lapierre attended a tea held in her honour in the community. Guests at the tea were tenants of Lashburn seniors' home, friends and family from the community, and individuals from the Ministry of Social Services.

Wilson was presented with a certificate signed by Honourable June Draude, minister of Social Services and minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation. She was also gifted with an engraved watch from the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation.
