Over the past few days, there has been an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases throughout the Lloydminster area, including cases of the Delta variant. The Delta (B.1.617.2) variant is raising additional concern for its high transmissibility rate and for the added danger of how it impacts unvaccinated people.

Your best protection against COVID-19 is to be vaccinated. This weekend, we are holding vaccination clinics that do not require an appointment:

  • Drive Thru on Friday July 30th, Exhibition Grounds (Alberta Building) from 12:30 pm-8:00 pm
  • Drop-in on Saturday July 31st, Exhibition Grounds (Wildrose Pavillion) from 9:00 am-4:00 pm
  • Drop-in on Sunday August 1st, Exhibition Grounds (Wildrose Pavillion) from 9:00 am-4:00 pm
  • Drive Thru on Monday August 2nd, Exhibition Grounds (Alberta Building) from 9:00 am-4:00 pm

With the increase of cases in the Lloydminster area in the past few days, we are urging those with symptoms to get tested, those who are close contacts and have not been double vaccinated to self-isolate and get tested if COVID-19 symptoms develop, and when possible take the opportunity to get your first or second dose of the vaccine at one of our clinics.
