The issue of whether to set up a set up a homeless shelter in North Battleford, and who would be leading the move to do so, is coming back to council as soon as the next meeting.

Councillor Brad Pattinson filed a notice of motion, read at the end of Monday's council meeting, moving, "be it resolved that the discretionary land use application at 962- 102nd St. by Reclaim Outreach Centre to operate a homeless shelter be approved."

The motion will be on the agenda at the next council meeting.

The issue of a homeless shelter in North Battleford has been an ongoing one for some time, with Reclaim Outreach Centre coming forward earlier this year with their plan to operate a homeless shelter on 102nd Street.
