A grass fire occupied the attention of emergency crews over the holiday weekend.
The alarm came in around 4:50 p.m. on Labour Day. According to North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services the landowner says the fire started from a burning barrel.
The fire was located about 15 kilometres east on Highway 16. Four apparatus and eight fire personnel were on the scene battling the grassfire for about two hours and 15 minutes.
