An Estevan man charged with possession of child porn, transmitting child porn and failing to comply with an order of prohibition was granted bail.
Kyle Mansil Fiddler, 30, was released after a show cause hearing Nov. 10 in Weyburn Circuit Court.
Fiddler was arrested Oct. 21 after the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) obtained a search warrant for his Estevan home. They say they found child porn and seized a cell phone and computer for further forensic analysis.
The charges against Fiddler haven’t been proven in court.
Police say in August they received numerous complaints that someone was distributing child porn on social media. The investigation traced the alleged crimes to Fiddler’s residence in Estevan.
According to court records, the failing to comply with an order of prohibition charge stems from a Toronto Police file where Fiddler was banned from using a computer to communicate with youth under the age of 16.
Fiddler’s next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 22 in Weyburn Circuit Court.
