MEADOW LAKE — A rollover that blocked Highway 4 Tuesday has now been identified as a fatal incident.
On May 24, at approximately 11:10 a.m., Meadow Lake RCMP received a report of a semi rollover on Highway 4, approximately 30 kilometres south of Meadow Lake.
The driver and sole occupant of the semi, a 48-year-old male from Meadow Lake, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His family has been notified.
The semi was hauling diesel, which spilled. The containment and clean-up of the fuel is being overseen by the Meadow Lake Fire Department.
Highway 4 was closed during initial investigation but has now re-opened.
The investigation continues with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP traffic reconstructionist.
