North Battleford is implementing another demolition order, this time on a building at 2112 - 100th St.
According City Building Inspector Jerry Wintonyk, the City met with an owner of the property who indicated they would be submitting a plan and a proposal for repair.
That plan has not been received so an order has been issued for demolition and removal of the property by Nov. 25. The owner has been advised of their right to appeal, which would come before council.
The building, located just south of the A&W location on 100th Street, used to house a car wash business that was damaged by fire. Councillor Brad Pattinson asked what was happening with the building at a council meeting Oct.11.
In addition to the car wash building, city hall is proceeding with plans to demolish five run-down houses in the city that had demolition orders issued against them.
Ken and Terry's Construction has been awarded the contract for that demolition work, which they have indicated will be completed within two to four weeks.
