A Glaslyn company has pled guilty to one count under The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act in North Battleford Provincial Court.

L & M Wood Products Limited Partnership was fined $10,000.

A worker operating conveyor equipment was seriously injured at L & M's sawmill near Glaslyn in July 2009.

The company was charged with failing to ensure that a stopping device for the trim saw was within the direct view and easy reach of its operator.

Three other charges against L & M Wood Products were stayed.

The worker's employer, Thunder Employment, was also charged with four violations under the OHS Act. That case has been adjourned to Oct. 26.
