Battlefords and District Co-op managers have earned two major awards.
Deli manager Allan Sutherland has been named 2010 Deli Manager of the Year for the Saskatoon Region. Sutherland, who also earned the award in 2007, leads what is described in a press release as a dedicated deli staff who work together as a team.
"Alan's encouragement and commitment to the department and staff have directly contributed to the success of the Battlefords deli," the release states.
"Maintaining quality and freshness are both a standard and an expectation for Allan and his team."
Grocery manager Dave Rogers has earned the title of 2010 Grocery Manager of the Year, also for the Saskatoon region.
"Dave has demonstrated a commitment to customer service and a dedication to his department," the release explains.
Rogers is described as a manager who leads by example through hard work and thoroughness, qualities appreciated by staff and customers.
His work is credited for the success of the Battlefords Marketplace food store over the past few years.
The awards were presented in a ceremony in the Co-op Territorial Place Mall Thursday.
