SASKATOON — The City of Saskatoon will close Vic Boulevard and the intersections on Marquis Drive and 71st Street starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
The Vic Boulevard eastbound ramp to Highway 11 northbound will be for pavement markings, Marquis Drive for road resurfacing, and 71st Street for road resurfacing.
All road projects will take one night to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
The northbound curb lane on Highway 11 from Vic Boulevard to Circle Drive East will open at 5 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22.
Idylwyld Drive’s northbound median lane from Marquis Drive to 71st Street East and the 71st Street East intersection at Idylwyld Drive North will open at 6 a.m. on Thursday.
Detours will be in place to guide motorists away from the construction areas. These detours may affect Saskatoon Transit.

Three road construction projects are about to end. The 11th Street West intersection at Fairlight Drive will open at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, the intersection on Melville Street and Portage Avenue at 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, and the Kensington Gate-Neault Road intersection at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31.
The infrastructure improvement at 11th Street West’s eastbound lanes, from Crescent Boulevard to Fairlight Drive, is expected to end at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
Brighton Boulevard’s West Side of the round-a-bout at Taskamanwa Street will open to motorists at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, while the completion of streetscaping on McOrmond Drive’s southbound curb and right turn lanes from McCrory Link to Fedoruk Drive at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29.
