PRINCE ALBERT — A Prince Albert man has been charged and released on conditions after an investigation into possession of child pornography through a popular online search engine.
James Seright, age 63, of Prince Albert has been charged with:
- two counts of possession of child pornography;
- one count of accessing child pornography.
On Sept. 14, members of the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Prince Albert that was identified as the location where the offences were occurring. Electronic devices were seized for further forensic analysis.
Seright was released from custody on numerous conditions.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
