Battlefords Chamber of Commerce officially launched a new and revitalized website Monday at .
According to the Chamber, the site has been in the works for a while. Work has been ongoing the last couple of months to produce a website that is easy to navigate for visitors.
Included on the site is a 鈥淢eet Our Members鈥 section showcasing local businesses, capacity to host videos for their 鈥淪hop the Battlefords鈥 program featuring some of the Chamber business members and information on the importance of shopping at local businesses. Also included is information on the benefits of belonging to the Chamber and of supporting the business community in the Battlefords and area.
The site was built with the help of the Chamber鈥檚 intern Mitchell Mullin. Chief Operating Officer Linda Machniak said at the Chamber鈥檚 monthly directors meeting Tuesday that Mullin did yeoman鈥檚 work on the project, working tireless to put it together.
鈥淲e are thrilled to be launching our new and improved Battlefords Chamber of Commerce website,鈥 said Mullin in a news release. 鈥淥ver the past few months, we have been working hard to produce an easily accessible website for everyone to use.鈥
The Government of Saskatchewan was a contributor in funding the website project through the Strong Recovery Adaptation Rebate, covering 50 per cent of the cost to set it up.
鈥淪o far the comments have been really positive,鈥 Machniak said Tuesday. 鈥淲e still have a few tweaks to complete but so far so good.鈥
Among the items on the new site getting good reaction from members is drone footage of the community seen from above, posted right at the top of the home page. Chamber chair Melanie Roberts particularly liked that feature and easy-to-navigate features, noting the website 鈥渓ooks bright and vibrant when I go on to that page.鈥
