There are all kinds of ways to celebrate Canada Day in and around the Battlefords.
Canada Day celebrations take place behind the Don Ross Centre starting at 8:00 p.m. with entertainment, children's activities and the RCMP Safety Bear. And ice cream concession will open. The evening will round off with Fireworks at 10:45 p.m. (all activities are weather permitting) Parking available at the Don Ross Centre and Allen Sapp Gallery.
Celebrate Canada Day at Fort Battleford National Historic Site from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting with a flag raising at noon followed by cake, wagon rides and at 3 p.m. a Victorian Tea and Fashion Show. Other events also include children's games, entertainment and face painting.
July kicks off with Canada Day celebrations at Battlefords Provincial Park starting with a sandcastle building competition at 9:30 a.m. followed by entertainment and events taking place at noon until 6:00 p.m. Regular park admission applies.
