The Battlefords Trade Education Centre is holding an art sale this Friday from 2 to 7 p.m as part of its fundraising efforts for a new facility.
The art sale features paintings made by BTEC members over the last few months, both abstract and realist. BTEC, which provides support services to adults with disabilities and trains them in new skills, needs to raise $1.3 million for their new building, most of which is hoped to be raised in the next year.
The painting program is just one of several programs run by the organization. BTEC also co-ordinates the construction of birthday cards, which are sold to Scott Campbell Dodge, and the painting of surveyor's stakes, which are sold to local construction projects.
