Break and enter near Chitek Lake

Spiritwood RCMP are seeking the public's help with respect to a break and enter near Chitek Lake, Saskatchewan.

The alleged break-in activity took place at Chamakese Resort. According to the RCMP, the Spiritwood detachment received a complaint on Dec. 2 at 10:30pm from a cabin owner at the resort. He alleged that two suspects attempted to break into his cabin while he was inside sleeping.

Spiritwood RCMP attended the scene. They later identified nine cabins and one motor home in the area that had been broken into and vandalized, causing extensive damage.

RCMP later located a stolen ATV while on patrol, with one youth, one adult and two unknown suspects seen driving around the Pelican Lake First Nation. Upon attempting to stop the ATV, all occupants fled from the scene. Two suspects were later caught and arrested.

Spiritwood RCMP are asking for any assistance from the public with respect to the break and enters on Chitek Lake, as well as information about the suspects who fled police.
