BIG RIVER— Update Nov. 25: The victim has been identified as a 32-year-old female from the area. Her family has been notified.
The dark red vehicle has been located and the investigation is ongoing at this time. Big River RCMP thanks the public for their assistance in this matter.

Background Nov. 22: RCMP hope the occupant(s) of a large red vehicle seen near a fatal pedestrian-vehicle collision may have some information that could help in their investigation.
On Nov. 22, at approximately 8:40 a.m., Big River RCMP and EMS responded to a report of a collision between a vehicle and an adult pedestrian on the Big River First Nation, just north of the Roman Catholic church.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Further details about the victim will be released after next of kin is notified.
No vehicles were at the scene. Big River RCMP, with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP Collision Reconstructionist, are investigating.
Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help locate a dark red vehicle that was seen in the area at the time of the incident as the occupants may have information about this investigation. There is no further description of the vehicle make and model at this time.
