B’fords RCMP Weekly Report: Ten arrested for being unlawfully in a dwelling

THE BATTLEFORDS — Battleford RCMP responded to 446 calls for service between Wednesday, Nov. 23 and Tuesday, Nov. 29.

One missing persons investigation remains active.

22 assault investigations

Report of an assault in North Battleford at 9 a.m. on Nov. 24. A woman attended detachment to report being assaulted and threatened by the suspect while he was driving her around in the city. She was able to escape the vehicle and did not sustain any serious injuries. A 26-year-old man was later arrested and is facing charges of assault and uttering threats and was held in custody and appeared in court the on Nov. 25. He is also facing an allegation of being in violation of his community sentencing order.

Report of an assault in progress on 100th Street in North Battleford at 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 24. Police arrived on scene with the incident still in progress and arrested a man on scene without incident. A 34-year-old was held in custody and appeared in court on Nov. 25 on charges of assault, failing to comply with an undertaking and failing to comply with probation. The victim and suspect are known to each other. The victim did not sustain any injures.

Multiple reports of a physical altercation between two subjects in North Battleford shortly after 1 p.m. Nov. 25. Multiple addresses also provided. Involved subjects were located and the victim was found with minor injuries to her extremities. A 32-year-old man was arrested, and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 5, facing one count of assault.

Six break and enter investigations

Ten arrests made at a residence on the 1600 block of 104th Street in North Battleford at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 24 after report of squatters in a residence that was supposed to be vacant. Upon arrival the suspects were all located inside the residence and taken into custody. The individuals, who range in age from 17 to 52, are all facing charges of being unlawfully in a dwelling.

Break and enter to a garage on 102nd Street in North Battleford in early hours of Nov. 24. A pickup truck was reported stolen. The vehicle was later recovered in connection to another investigation and three subjects were arrested and charged. A 36-year-old man is set to appear Jan. 9, charged with break and enter and theft of a motor vehicle. A 17-year-old female is appearing on Jan. 12, and is also charged with break and enter and theft of a motor vehicle. An 18-year-old female is appearing on Jan. 16, charged with break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle and failing to comply with a release order.

Nine vehicle thefts

White 1996 Chrysler Sebring with Saskatchewan licence 713 MQX reported stolen from 29th Street in Battleford in the early morning of Nov. 27.

White 2014 Dodge Journey with Saskatchewan licence 400 JFK reported stolen from the 700 block of 101st Street in North Battleford shortly after 6 p.m. Nov. 26.

Silver GMC 1500 with Saskatchewan licence 394LHV reported stolen from the Denholm area sometime between Nov. 27 and Nov. 29.

13 mental health investigations.

16 traffic collisions.

One individual charged with impaired driving.

49 various traffic charges.

77 disturbance calls

12 other reported thefts

17 mischief investigations.
