An 18-year-old man was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital with life threatening injuries after being struck by a car at 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
WPD Ambulance personnel responded to the scene approximately 12 kilometres north of the city on Highway 4.
North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services report the driver of the car was not injured.
NBFES also responded to report of a fuel leak at the Gold Eagle Casino just after 6 p.m. Thursday. Lt. Clint Bullerwell reports less the five litres of diesel fuel had leaked from a vehicle and the leak had been plugged before the emergency crew arrived.
The spill was cleaned up with an absorbent product designed for that purpose.
