Artistic Nomad Productions held their first backyard concert on July 14 featuring J. J. Voss.
Voss, recently named Male Artist of the Year as well his聽album 鈥淐ome Along with Me鈥� was named Roots Album of the Year by the Saskatchewan Country Music Association, performed for two hours. Voss offered a variety of music and storytelling to the delight of a dozen spectators on a beautiful Wednesday evening.聽
The聽second聽backyard concert will be Aug. 11 and feature Jake Vaadeland and the Sturgeon River Boys. Vaadeland is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Saskatchewan. His traditional sound and interesting style could be defined as a blend of Bluegrass and Rockabilly.
Vaadeland specializes mainly on banjo, guitar and vocals. He performs his music along with a variety of backup musicians who make up the Sturgeon River Boys.
The performance at 1322 - 96th St. in North Battleford will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased through the website at .
