A few industrious art members met Tuesday for a creative session where we worked, shared ideas and had a productive time.
We鈥檇 like to remind everyone that a workshop by Carol Wylie from the University of Saskatchewan will be held Saturday, March 14, at the Don Ross Centre craft room and will feature the basics of painting. She also has an awesome exhibition in the Chapel Gallery depicting survivors of the holocaust and residential schools. Many similarities are noted and she tells their stories in extremely interesting formats. This is a 鈥渕ust see鈥 for everyone.

Approximately 13 members enjoyed a workshop Tuesday given by Faye Erickson. The workshop focused mainly on how to paint more loosely and freely, using a huge paint brush, approximately one to two inches wide, painting with large strokes using this brush.
She also taught us to stand one arm鈥檚 length away from our paintings, enabling us to see the whole painting instead of concentrating on small areas only.
We had 20 minutes only to complete a picture. Lots of fun and laughter was had to see the outcome of these paintings. Have a great week, everyone.
