There is a new way to embrace, promote and feed arts and culture in the Battlefords - a new magazine, Feed the Artist. Feed the Artist was created to showcase local talent and promote the arts and culture community in the Battlefords.

As the school year draws to a close the school community of Maidstone High School paused to acknowledge the accomplishments and challenges of its many groups, committees and teams.

Borden School Graduation ceremonies were held June 8 in the Borden Community Centre, with the banquet provided by Borden Lions Club.

The regular monthly Games Day was held at the seniors' centre May 7. Edith Christensen and Tom Poppleton were the winners of the A side in the shuffleboard tournament. Jean Ball and Shirley Nuspl were the runners-up.

Living Sky School Division held its 2012 Student Hall of Fame Celebration June 14 at a banquet in the Battleford Arena attended by more than 800 people.

I am happy to write this article because when I saw this happening my heart went out to Dillion and his brothers. What a nice example of family love.
