The Neilburg branch of the Lakeland Library has been a busy place recently. Story time was held June 14 and a time of games and crafts was held July 10. The summer reading program is now underway with prizes for participation.

Krista Dawn Gray was in Africa for a volunteer project at a cheetah conservation centre. She was there for two weeks and helped rebuild some of the enclosures and got to feed cheetahs. The next two weeks she travelled to Mozambique and Swaziland.

ATV mishap proves fatal

On Aug. 1 at approximately 9:30 p.m., George Cunningham of Paynton was involved in a single vehicle accident on his quad. The efforts of many including Paynton's first responders, EMS and hospital staff was not enough to repair the damage.
