Yellowhead Ramblers have busy schedule

Sunday we enjoyed some sunshine after a few days of rain, snow, and colder temperatures. Nov. 22 was all snow, so we woke up to a white world again.

Sunday we enjoyed some sunshine after a few days of rain, snow, and colder temperatures. Nov. 22 was all snow, so we woke up to a white world again.

It was not a heavy snowfall but the ice underneath made it treacherous underfoot and also for driving.

Ted and Barbara McPherson have been guests of Ted's sister, Jean McPherson, and brother-in-law, Jim Maxwell, for a few months since their return from working overseas. They are now planning to make their home in Sault Ste Marie, Ont., close to where their daughter and family live. They are presently there but will be returning for a short while to settle things here. We wish them happiness in their new surroundings.

The Yellowhead Ramblers Band are having a busy pre-Christmas schedule. They recently played for a seniors' group in North Battleford and at Hallsholme in Lloydminster. Among their engagements soon are playing for the festival of trees in Maidstone and a carol service in Waseca. They get together regularly to practice at the home of their pianist, Jean McPherson.

The church-sponsored carol service will be held in Waseca Hall Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to come and enjoy the music, which includes the Yellowhead Ramblers, joining in singing Christmas carols and sharing in some visiting.
